Local storage and session storage are browser memory, separate from cookies. Our site code uses them for the settings below, without sending their values to an analytics service.

A simple flag stops the rocket opening from repeating as you move around the site in the same tab. It contains no visitor identifier.

Expired persistent settings are removed when the site next runs. Browser session restoration can preserve session data after a tab or browser closes; you can clear it manually at any time.
View the storage names
cedar-motion stores play/pause. stelrion-arrival stores the opening’s seen flag. stelrion-privacy stores your privacy choice and expiry. The older “cedar” name is an internal key retained from the original website.
The first two settings are session-only by default. After you explicitly enable memory, the motion choice is stored locally until the privacy choice expires. Settings are specific to this browser and origin.

Use our controls to choose whether your motion setting lasts between visits. “Clear website settings” removes the three named settings and returns motion to the device-aware default. It does not erase hosting security cookies, your browser’s media cache or provider logs.
